I confess I have a soft spot for Annie, purely because my mother took my sister and me to see it at the cinema (on a rerelease a couple of years after it was first shown). Normally my father would have been involved, but it was unusual for my mother to take the cinematic initative, so the occasion is stuck in my memory. :)
