I confess, I wasn't a massive fan of Gambon in the role of Dumbledore (though he was perfectly fine). Weirdly, I wanted Peter O'Toole.

My favourite Gambon role? Probably a toss up between Gosford Park and The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover.
