I did write a short supernatural horror story set during the first UK lockdown, but other than that I've avoided it. The kinds of novels I tend to write - either gothic horror/thriller tales or children's adventure stories - can often be conveniently located in the past.
That said, a novella I wrote in 2017 entitled Infestation (which Fictions on Medium have just started to serialise) has some eerily prophetic metaphorical application to the pandemic. It is set in the near-future, in a world adjusting to the presence of giant spider nests that have mysteriously sprung up in various places.
