I do understand (from you and one or two others I'm in touch with from Portugal) that the cinemagoing situation is less than ideal there.
Most of the time there aren't intermissions in cinemas in the UK these days, though I actually wish they'd bring them back in some cases. As for the cinema price thing, I have ways to keep costs down where I live (my Cineworld subscription, for instance, and various independent cinema memberships), but that isn't necessarily going to be the case for everyone.
I should add that I don't expect everyone to share my lunatic extremism on seeing films in the cinema. However, I do think cinema is the best place to see films, and I do think they ought to be shown there first, before streaming. :)
