I don't agree with Carano's political views, and I think what she said about masks/voter fraud etc is nonsense. I also think her Holocaust comparison was crass, even though I understand the point she was trying to make. All that said, should she have been "cancelled" for it? Of course not. It's total hypocrisy, as you rightly point out.
Quite honestly it staggers me that anyone gives an airborne fornication what pop stars and actors have to say about politics or whatnot. I myself have often performed 360 degree eyerolls when reading the absurd nonsense they spout - for instance when Sean Penn suggested the British give the Falklands back to the "indigenous population". Who would that be, exactly? The puffins? Never mind the fact that island has had referendums - including one fairly recently - where the islanders voted with almost 100 percent agreement that they wanted to be British subjects.
Does that mean I enjoy Sean Penn's considerable acting talents any less? Of course not. That's my point. Let's stop giving oxygen and scrutiny to every little stupid thing said by these people on Twitbook.
