I don't do hugs, especially the "Christian hugs" popular in certain evangelical churches where total strangers think they can invade your personal space. I used to attend a church of this kind, and at one point sent in my wife ahead of me as hug cannon fodder, so I could duck around people and get to my seat.

Everything else you suggest sounds great by the way. In the words of Anne of Green Gables, you sound like a "kindred spirit". :)
