Thank you. I don't particularly care for unvarnished sadism with no contrasting elements. Satire, black comedy, biting social commentary, etc, all help extreme gory gems like Dawn of the Dead, The Evil Dead, The Substance, Videodrome, etc, but the likes of Hostel, Terrifier, Human Centipede, etc don't have that cleverness. They aren't so much scary as simply one note and monotonous.
