I don't think that's a conscious agenda in Hollywood, Clockwork Orange-style. Hollywood doesn't have any agenda other than money, and it puts out what it thinks is popular or wanted by vast segments of society. Sometimes that happens to be the kind of material you write about here (rightly or wrongly).
