I enjoyed the Christmas special more than you, I daresay, but my real anticipation is for the new series (I always have fairly low expectations of the Christmas specials, with my favourite to date being Last Christmas, followed by David Tennant's introduction in The Christmas Invasion). Anyway, of the recent specials, I particularly loved Wild Blue Yonder. It felt like a missing episode from the 2008 series. :)
