I enjoyed The Matrix when I saw it at the cinema in 1999 (I went with my then girlfriend, now wife, so it has a special place in my heart). We both enjoyed it a great deal. I don't think it is unflawed, and certain aspects are now quite dated, but it is an iconic classic for a reason. The sequels were rubbish though, and I was utterly indifferent to the new film. :)
