I felt the same way. On the whole, I enjoyed the film (particularly Hugh Grant). :)

As I watched Heretic, there were two things I was worried might happen; I didn’t want to see our protagonists escape their predicament with the ‘power of faith,’ but neither did I want the movie to smugly denounce all faiths and have the message of the movie be so self-serving.
