I first watched Ingmar Bergman's films as a teenager, and whilst I admired them, I just couldn't get into them. Now they resonate a lot more, but I suspect that is more to do with age than repeat viewings.

As for a disappointment in the horror genre, the much lauded Hereditary didn't cut it for me (though I thought Ari Aster's next film Midsommar was superb). Here's my review of Hereditary, if you're interested. :)
