I have a deep loathing for cults, considering I was raised in one (my parents were part of one, up to the age of seven). No, I don't plan to write about it directly, but my novel Children of the Folded Valley (370-ish mostly positive ratings on Amazon) is informed by some of my experiences both then and in the evangelical church my parents were a part of afterwards (mild in comparison to what took place in the cult, but still fairly damned oppressive in other ways).
