I have a love/hate relationship with Ridley Scott, as his films can be a bit hit and miss, largely due to the screenplays. That said, they always look fabulous. I agree Alien, Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise, Gladiator, and various others are bonafide masterpieces.

Here are my thoughts on The Last Duel and House of Gucci, if you're interested. (I rate Lady Gaga a bit higher than you as an actress - I thought she was excellent in A Star is Born, for instance).
