I have so much sympathy for you regarding this.

Ultimately, I had no idea how to conduct myself. I knew I wanted people to like me… I wanted to make a good impression, I wanted to be able to talk to these people like equals. Yet, at the same time, I felt like an outsider. How could I talk to them like an equal, when I wasn’t equal to them? I hadn’t started my career, I’d never even had my work read aloud, yet I was surrounded by titans and expected to hold my head high.
I worked alongside the creator of BBC’s ‘Sherlock’ and I messed up.

I have so much sympathy for you regarding this. I've been there. (My wife thinks I'm autistic, by the way, but I refuse to be defined by that, so I've not really pursued the official diagnosis route.)
