I have watched lots of extreme cinema, and found much of it fascinating and incendiary, with interesting, thought provoking things to say amid the extremes of gore, sexual perversion, and things that are just plain disgusting (Pink Flamingos, I'm looking at you). Sometimes such films are incredibly offensive, but I'd rather be offended than bored.

By contrast, The Human Centipede films are not the work of a cinematic provocateur with interesting things to say. It is vile, repugnant rubbish with no redeeming merits at all. Worst of all, it is boring.
