I know everyone loves this film - and I certainly agree it is well-directed and acted - but for some reason it has never connected with me emotionally, other than superficially. I much prefer other Jean-Pierre Jeunet films such as Delicatessen and The City of Lost Children. They are far weirder, but then again, so am I. :)
