I know its trendy to bash Cameron's Titanic, and I do understand why on account of historical quibbles, but I still think its a very enjoyable broad canvas romantic epic/disaster movie. A blunt instrument derived from raw ambition perhaps, but its a very effective and satisfying one, even though the characters are one-dimensional. A Night To Remember is a better film, but Titanic is still a fine achievement.

I'm with you on the Murdoch thing though. Cameron could have snipped that bit out and lost nothing.
