I know some can't abide his films, but I think he's a genius, with a hugely impressive body of work. And yes, I often find him very funny (I generally prefer his earlier more full-on comedies to his more serious pieces). He's great at one-liners too. "Life doesn't imitate art. It imitates bad television."
