I like the Guy Ritchie Holmes films because they remind me of the playful Basil Rathbone era, in which the films cherry picked bits of Conan Doyle originals and added to them, creating an enjoyable mash-up.

For the more faithful adaptations, I prefer Jeremy Brett's Holmes in the ITV TV series. Pretty much unsurpassed, I'd say.
