I love Depeche Mode, but didn't get the S&M undertones of Master and Servant or Strange Love until some years later (I was 9 in 1984 and 12 in 1987, the respective release years of those two singles, and didn't learn about S&M until I discovered it in an erotica novel around the age of 15).
