I love Martin dearly, and share many of his sentiments and deep love for cinema, but he's wrong about the MCU. The finest MCU films (Civil War, for instance) are vibrant and cinematic, and some of them are destined for greatness I suspect (at ten years old, I'd argue the first Avengers film is now a classic).

But yes, I daresay he enjoys Christopher Nolan's singular artistic voice, which is what made the Dark Knight trilogy (especially Batman Begins) great.
