I love your recurring use of the "twatty corporate boss" image (I hope that model was well paid for his trouble).
Also, speaking of shamelessness in corporate culture, I witnessed some appalling behaviour during my years in middle management purgatory. One time, a pair of particularly power-crazed nitwits were literally bouncing up and down on their seats like excited children at the prospect of them potentially being "in charge" whilst questioning the CEO concerning a couple of management positions upper management were looking to appoint. The transparently craven, power-crazed foolishness of it all made me sick to my stomach, and if I had been the CEO, their shameless behaviour would have disqualified them both on those grounds alone. Both were pretty much universally loathed by everyone who did the actual work, I hasten to add.
Naturally, they both got the job.
