I saw Event Horizon during the original cinema run in 1997 and was immensely impressed. However, I knew it was damaged goods. The production history of the film was tumultuous. The film was rushed out, having been censored and pared down from a significantly longer cut that tragically, no longer seems to exist. I would love to see the original, full-length version.
