I saw it sometimes growing up (not with my parents) but it seems to have grown arms, legs, and tentacles now. Loads of overprotective helicopter parenting, and not just over what children are allowed to watch and read, but also in where they are allowed to play outside, the kinds of games they play, and so on. And yet, they seem to be allowed free rein online, which is insane.

All I can say is we took a very different approach. :)
