I see no reason why the likes of Citizen Kane and Psycho shouldn't be essential texts taught in school, alongside Shakespeare, Bronte, and Dickens. So yes, cinematic literacy is a big passion of mine.

And yes, more media choices certainly doesn't necessarily equate to more cinematic literacy. :)
