I shan't bite by writing an article, but if you're after great songs with "summer" in the title, there's also Boys of Summer by Don Henley, which I've always had a big soft spot for. More recently, I quite like Summer by Calvin Harris.

Outside of titles with "summer" in the title, I'd have to include Give it Up by KC and the Sunshine Band.
