I still think an online writer crush triangle would be interesting. But it needs to be carefully thought through. We can't just have two writers cravenly attempting one-upmanship over one another to impress a third. I think one at least would need to be aloof and melancholy, seemingly not giving a damn about impressing the object of his or her crush, thus making them obsess even further. In the meantime, the third wheel in the crush triangle is perhaps increasingly frustrated, ultimately crossing into another crush in the shared universe. Perhaps at this point, the former object of their crush realises their mistake, but can they be won back?
