I take your point, but personally, I'd be happy if there were no superhero films for at least ten years. A saturation point has been reached, and enough is enough. Time for mainstream Hollywood to put the creative focus elsewhere rather than chase diminishing returns.

The same also applies to Star Wars, Disney remakes of their animated classics, and the pointless glut of legacy sequels. Give or take Mad Max Fury Road, I don't see that any of them have added anything of significant artistic value.
