I think I can forgive this, because: 1) You point out that you wouldn’t have such a cavalier attitude with an unfamiliar cinema, and 2) As long as you aren’t entering after the main feature has commenced, I don’t get quite the same irritation/you’ve-missed-something-important anxiety. :)
