I think my expectations were "Robert Altman", so that meant big ensemble cast, overlapping dialogue, plenty of finely observed dark wit, etc. In the back of my mind I was thinking Nashville, Short Cuts, etc, not Agatha Christie. But yes, I can understand if you came to it expecting Death on the Nile you might be disappointed.
