I think the Avatar films are less of a challenge due to all the CGI and whatnot, and apparently Cameron is "nicer" these days, so perhaps that won Weaver over. On the other hand, both Avatar films are rubbish in my not remotely humble opinion (other than their undoubted technical prowess) so I think I prefer Cameron when he was a perfectionist arsehole.
