I think the real issue isn't the Oscars but lack of funding/support for Black projects in mainstream Hollywood and elsewhere. That's where the real inequality lies (at least, as far as American cinema is concerned). The Oscars are a symptom, not a cause. That said, there have been occasions when I've been furious that deserving Black artists have been overlooked at the Oscars.

I'm a cineaste and care only about one thing: Is it a good film? Oppenheimer, I thought, was a superb film. I certainly don't think it "glorifies" Oppenheimer in any way. Quite the reverse. I also would offer this pushback against your points about what the film omits:
