I think what Neil Tennant had to say about Taylor Swift was interesting, about how she (and quite a lot of modern pop stars) only sing about exes and whatnot, and how all the theatricality, performance art, imagination, satire, and wit has gone out of much of the pop scene in favour of narcissism. I think he has a point. (I'm a big Pet Shop Boys fan.)
