I think your father is in a unique position to understand the value of not judging others. I'm so glad you've got the chance to get to know him properly. It is important to make the most of that time. I hope you'll forgive me for saying as much, but I desperately wish I could talk to my father again (he died very suddenly and unexpectedly in 2012), so I'm sure you'll understand where I'm coming from.
