I thought Oppenheimer was stunning - the best film I saw last year by some distance. It is disturbing though. I certainly needed a lie down in a darkened room afterwards, especially after that final devastating scene with Einstein. And that, by the way, is why I don't agree with you here regarding the chronology. I didn't have a problem following this, and loved the non-linear structure. With a linear chronology, the film wouldn't have been able to end when it did, with the brilliant final revelation of what Einstein said.

All that said, this is a well-written and compelling review of the film. :)
