I understand. Brown recluses are nasty, as are black widows, red caps, and funnel webs. And I won't start on wandering spiders from Brazil (google it if you want nightmares). But despite these bad apples, on the whole, spiders are an ally to humanity, albeit a scary looking one.

Here in the UK we have a couple of nasties: The "false widow" (akin to the black widow, but not as deadly), and tube webs (non-venomous to humans, but aggressive, and they bite).
