I understand what you are saying. It is well-written and eloquent. But Hawkeye and the whole Marvel Universe is meant to be escapism. In the end, it is escapism done very entertainingly and satisfyingly. Demanding the level of grimly accurate cause and effect handwringing you suggest in a genre piece of this kind (which also ought to include accurate bruising during the many dust-ups rather than designer cuts) is like asking a fish to bark like a dog.
