I understand where you are coming from with this (concerning the women, and also what you say later about the other perspectives, land seizures, and so on) but I don't think including any of these extra perspectives or incidents would have improved the film. It is a strong film because of the claustrophobic limitations of being (mostly) inside Oppenheimer's head. Cutting away to lots of other different perspectives would have diluted that power. I'm not saying there aren't other stories to be told or films to be made from different points of view that aren't Oppenheimer's, but this wasn't that film.
