I watched one and a half series of Game of Thrones (which I liked with reservations), then did my usual thing of waiting till the whole thing had finished before deciding whether it was worth watching the whole lot. That's a practice I've made ever since what happened with Lost (terrible finale). For that reason, I didn't watch Breaking Bad, The Wire, and various other multi-series TV serials until I knew they finished in a satisfying manner. I've not watched the rest of Game of Thrones, by the way.
TV plays third fiddle to my other entertainment priorities, ie cinema and literature. Occasionally, I will watch an acclaimed mini-series or "limited" series, as they rather ridiculously call them these days (eg Chernobyl, which was superb).
