I wholeheartedly agree with this. Supporting independent bookshops is vital.

I'd add second hand bookshops are also wonderful places, and increasingly important bastions against censorship (having older copies of Agatha Christie, Ian Fleming, etc before condescending sensitivity readers decided to tell grown adults what they could and could not read, for their own good).
