I will admit that I'm making a hard sell with my article on Snape, and Lupin is a superb, hugely likeable teacher. I loved your "useful as algebra" comment on transfiguration, and Lupin's teaching of the difficult patronus charm is pivotal in Harry's magical education, as you correctly point out.

But I still think Harry learned more from Snape. ;)
