I'd certainly have picked Aladdin over The Lion King, but my favourite Disney animated feature from that era is Beauty and the Beast, on points (though I think the songs in The Little Mermaid are better). Speaking of Beauty and the Beast, I'm also sorry Jean Cocteau's La Belle et la Bete failed to materialise. I love that one.
