If that's the case, I'm a crapping-on-Michael-Bay hipster who did it long before it was fashionable. In my not remotely humble opinion, his films range from the barely tolerable (this one and perhaps his most recent film Ambulance) at the more positive end, to the cinematic equivalent of a recurring sexually transmitted disease at the more negative end (most of his films, frankly). To explain the metaphor, people foolishly saw one of his early films without thinking about the consequences of making it a hit, and as a result the studios keep greenlighting further films by him. This metaphor particularly applies to his interminable Transformers films, which are an embarrassment to cinema. Also, I take particular issue with your claim that Bad Boys II is in any way a good film. It is a truly vile piece of work.
Rant over.
