If you say "greatest" then no. Strictly limiting this term to Hollywood and not other arenas of world cinema, I'd say the golden eras of Hollywood were first the 1930s, and then the 1970s. That's an article I'll write another time. However, if the 1980s were your favourite, that's a different discussion. Personally, my favourite films sprawl over an entire century (Nosferatu is 100 this year, for instance) but I do have a lot of favourites from the 1980s, and of course there is a huge childhood nostalgia factor at play.
