If you've not seen it, I highly recommend the BBC's 1992 Ghostwatch - a hugely controversial Halloween prank TV special that caused consternation when first broadcast in the UK (I saw the original broadcast - I was 17 at the time). I'm sure it was a key influence on Late Night with the Devil.
