I'll keep this reply relatively short (I promise). Hahahaha!

1) Thank you so much for sharing all this. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be growing up around the environment you describe in Pakistan, but I am glad your parents and family are reasonable people.

2) I think you're right about Jesus standing out the way you describe. I once heard it put this way: All other religions are about humanity striving to get to God, but in Christianity, God came to us (in the form of Jesus).

3) I agree with everything you say here about censorship, politics, the bloody histories of our respective state religions, and so forth. I also agree that both sides in the American culture wars can be as bad as each other. I actually wrote about that very concept in my novel Peaceful Quiet Lives. It's a satire of the worst fears of both sides in that culture war. But I'll not plug my novels here (for once - hahahahaha!).

Since you have been honest and frank with me about your struggles, I will keep you in my prayers. I look forward to meeting you in person one day. :)
