I’ll leave it to the Elvis experts to argue the toss over whether he was equally inspired by white singers as you assert as I don’t know enough on the subject. To my ear, his music has always appeared to be predominantly Black gospel/R&B inspired. But I’m not dismissing your point. Thank you for reading and commenting. :)
