I'm a big fan of music in general (with some exceptions - I don't care for country and western). My main passions are pop music, classical, and film scores.

I agree 100 percent about Lana Del Ray in The Great Gatsby. Amazing track.

Tears for Fears did better singles than Mad World (Change, Pale Shelter, Shout, and Everybody Wants to Rule the World, for instance). But I think I like their version and Gary Jules's take equally. However, I accept many people prefer the latter. Fair enough.

Donnie Darko itself is a film I absolutely love. But I prefer the shorter cut (partly because it's more enigmatic, and partly because the longer version removes Echo and the Bunnymen's Killing Moon and replaces it with INXS's Never Tear Us Apart, which I'm not such a big fan of).

I wrote about the Donnie Darko soundtrack here, if you're interested. :)
