I'm completely with you on the anyone should play anyone argument. This is why I have no problem with Black actors in the likes of Mr Malcolm's List or The Personal History of David Copperfield (or The Rings of Power, for that matter), but also could not give an airborne fornication about so-called "whitewashing" in, say, the Hollywood live action remake of Ghost in the Shell.
